Common Ink is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kassera Design Studio Inc. We created Common Ink because we saw a unique need for an easy-to-use, easy-to-implement content management system. We needed a system that could integrate seamlessly with the custom websites that we design for our clients. Our clients, often busy business owners or marketing directors, also needed a system that they could get up-and-running with quickly—they didn’t have time to sift through pages of documentation or technical jargon. The system needed to be scalable, so that we could quickly integrate it into small websites with only a few pages, or large websites that demand performance. We created multiple access levels so that our larger clients could grant different permissions to different groups within their own company. Each of our clients had different needs for updating their website, and each of those unique needs has been integrated into the full set of features in Common Ink. A hair salon needed to promote new specials and upload new staff photos. A property management company needed to be able to upload floorplans, photo slideshows and contact information for different properties, and also take them out of rotation when they were rented. A restaurant needed to change their menu every week. A publishing company needed to upload new press releases. A non-profit needed to link to news all over the web, and include video from recent events. Common Ink has grown exponentially from its early beginnings, and we’re still adding more and more functionality to the system as we see more unique needs. |
